New sports fields, a gym and a renewal of the green areas with 50 new trees

The construction sites of the new Giuriati Sports Center have been in place for 18 months for a total investment of 6.5 million euros. They have expanded and modernised the previously existing complex: among the new additions a closed basket and volleyball field, a field track and a rugby field, an amateur football field and a gym toghether with the new green areas and 50 new trees.

"Sport in an university context is more than the activity: it can be a social, educational and formative time; for this reason the Politecnico consider sport as a crucial element to the personal and collective growth. Over the years we have launched many initiatives in this regard and it was imperative for us to have a facility to continue to do so that could be also be accessible to the general public."
